World-Class No.8 midfielder linked with surprise move to Liverpool

Liverpool are allegedly determined to land Toni Kroos during this summer’s transfer market and are preparing to make a £25 million offer for the Real Madrid star.

The 32-year-old German only has 18 months left to run on his existing deal at the Santiago Bernabeu outfit but recently said that he is keen to end his career with Los Blancos.

Kroos has again been an important player for the Galacticos during the 2021-22 campaign, featuring 21 times, contributing three goals and three assists so far.

However, according to El Nacional, Carlo Ancelotti’s side are yet to open discussions with him over an extension, which has drawn the attention of the Reds.

The report says that manager Jurgen Klopp would be ‘delighted’ to bring in his compatriot, and the Premier League side are preparing to put a three-year contract proposal on the table.

They are understood to be hopeful that an offer in the region of £25 million would be enough to convince the fellow European giants to sell the four-time UEFA Champions League winner.

Meantime, Liverpool have also reportedly pinpointed KV Oostende midfielder, Kenny Rocha Santos, as a possible transfer target.

In spite of the club currently fighting for survival in the Jupiler Pro League, the 21-year-old Cape Verde international has made an impression in creative zones during his 21 appearances this campaign.

The report goes on to say that the De Kustboys management would be ready to cash in on him for a fee in the region of £8 million.
