Spanish giants eyeing move for Arsenal No.9 striker

Barcelona are reportedly thinking about a summer approach for Arsenal attacker Alexandre Lacazette.

The France international has been a vital player for the London club during the 2021-22 campaign, playing in 26 matches in all competitions, registering five goals and eight assists thus far.

His contract at the Emirates Stadium outfit is due to run out at the end of June, though, and the player is widely expected to depart the capital outfit in search of pastures new.

Lyon have been heavily linked with their former key man, while Atletico Madrid are said to be interested in bringing the soon-to-be free agent to Spain for the 2022-23 season.

According to a recent report from a French publication le10sport, Blaugrana are also keeping tabs on the developments, with the Catalan club considering moving for the forward on a free transfer.

The report continues, by stating that Xavi’s team will look to land him if they miss out on a rumoured deal for Borussia Dortmund’s Norwegian sensation Erling Braut Haaland, who continues to be strongly linked with Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.

Lacazette has netted 70 goals and registered 36 assists in 196 outings for the Premier League giants in all competitions.
