Serie A creative midfielder linked with surprise move to Liverpool

Liverpool have been strongly linked with a move for Juventus’ Paulo Dybala previously and the Juventus attacker’s future remains in the air after an update from Bianconeri director Fabio Paratici.

As reported by Goal, the 27-year-old forward has been linked with a transfer away from the Allianz Stadium as the Serie A heavyweights look to cash in on the player before he becomes a free agent in 2022.

Fabio has confirmed talks that are imminent, saying: “We have spoken [about this contract], we have been speaking and will continue to speak in the next few days and months.”

The 29-cap Argentina international has been a sought-after asset with top clubs, including Jurgen Klopp’s side, keen on the £63m-rated star.

After suffering an ankle injury earlier in the campaign, Dybala – who was labelled a ‘complete player’ by Bianconeri legend Alessandro Del Piero – is currently sidelined having made a slow start to the term by his previous standards, netting just twice in 11 league matches.

As the Reds now know firsthand, allowing deals to rumble on can prove costly, as Georginio Wijnladum looks set to leave for free at the end of this season.

Should the Old Lady and Dybala be unable to find an agreement before this summer’s transfer window, the Turin side will almost surely look to sell him, as losing out on a lofty transfer sum would be a major oversight on their part.

Jurgen Klopp is expected to strengthen his attacking options and Dybala’s quality can not go unnoticed.

Should the South American be made available for a cut-price fee with a dwindling contract, the Merseyside giants need to be among the suitors.
