Serie A box-to-box midfielder linked with surprise move to Man Utd

Man Utd and Barcelona are reportedly among a number of teams interested in securing the services of  Inter Milan playmaker Nicolo Barella.

The 23-year-old spent the 2019-20 season on loan with Inter from Cagliari before finalising a permanent move to San Siro during the recent transfer window.

Italian playmaker has been in stunning form for Antonio Conte’s team this campaign, providing four assists in nine games in all competitions.

The Italy international has a deal with Inter Milan until June 2024, however, according to FCInterNews, Man Utd and Barcelona are both weighing up offers for the central midfielder.

The report suggests that Antonio Conte’s side are attempting to extend Barella’s deal for a further year, however, a number of teams in England and Spain, including Liverpool and Arsenal are keeping tabs on his signature.

The Italian has found back of the net four times and provided 12 assists in 50 games for I Nerazzurri.

Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur and Man Utd are both reportedly interested in securing the services of Fiorentina defender, Nikola Milenkovic when the transfer window will be re-opened in January.

The 23-year-old centre-back will see his existing contract expire at the end of the 2021-22 season, and there was a host of rumours surrounding his future over the summer.

Fiorentina defender has again been a vital player for his Italian team this season- making seven games in all competitions – however, La Viola could be forced into a sale unless they can commit him to a new deal.
