Real Madrid playmaker open to extend stay at Arsenal this summer
Martin Odegaard has left the door open to a permanent move to Arsenal during in the summer transfer window.
Having failed to make a sustained impact at Santiago Bernabeu during the first half of the season, the midfielder was allowed to make a move to the Gunners on loan for the rest of the campaign.
The 22-year-old made his first Arsenal start on Sunday afternoon, featuring in the 4-2 win over Leeds United in the English top-tier.
Speaking after the game, the Norway international acknowledged that he was open to all possibilities later back in 2021.
Odegaard told TV2: “You never know what is going to happen, but for now, I am just focusing on doing my best this season and helping the team as much as possible.”
The talented Real Madrid midfielder has just under two-and-a-half years left on his current deal at the Bernabeu and the Spanish giants could consider his transfer when the transfer window will be re-opened in the summer.
