PSG turned down chance to sign Matteo Guendouzi from Arsenal

Ligue 1 champions, Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly turned down chance to secure services of Arsenal midfield destroyer Matteo Guendouzi.

The Frenchman frozen out by the Norht London club, head coach Mikel Arteta in the latter stages of their 2019-20 campaign and is believed to be on his way out from the Emirates Stadium before transfer deadline.

Thomas Tuchel’s side have recently been credited with an interest in the 21-year-old midfielder, however, according to The Telegraph, the French champions have turned down the chance to get the deal done.

Valencia are believed to have approached the Gunners over the possibility of a loan deal, however, the Premier League giants are allegedly keen to sell former Lorient ment in order to raise funds for the possible arrivals ahead of the next season.

An altercation with Brighton & Hove Albion’s forward Neal Maupay after the coronavirus pandemic restart period led to the French midfielder losing his spot in Mikel Arteta’s squad, while he finished last campaign training away from the first team.

Guendouzi turned out for PSG at youth level between 2005 and 2014 before making switch to Lorient where he has impressed and former Arsenal head-coach Unai Emery lured him at the Emirates Stadium.
