Premier League rivals desperate to sign Man Utd £75,000 a-week star

West Ham United will do “whatever it takes” to secure services of Jesse Lingard from Man United permanently in the summer, according to a club source.

The England international playmaker has featured in eight Premier League matches for the Hammers since his loan transfer in January, and he has scored 6 goals in eight games for the Hammers.

Lingard’s agreement with West Ham is a straight loan without an option or obligation to make his mover permanent at the end of the deal, however, the club are understandably keen to keep him at the London Stadium on a permanent basis.

A senior West Ham source told Sky Sports News: “We will do whatever it takes to sign him. He has been outstanding for us.”

The Red Devils loanee boasts a total of six goals and four assists from eight top-flight games for David Moyes’s team, and he is playing a vital role in their bid for a Champions League place.

Lingard stays under deal at Man United until 2022, and ex-Red Devils full-back Gary Neville believes that the team might want him back given his stunning performances for the Hammers.

The 28-year-old scored a magnificent solo goal before setting up Jarrod Bowen in the Hammers 3-2 win over Wolves.
