Man Utd striker ready to fight for place in the Starting XI under new manager

Manchester United attacker Marcus Rashford is reportedly determined to remain at the club in the summer and prove himself under new head-coach Erik ten Hag.

Rashford’s future with the Red Devils has come under the spotlight in recent weeks after he fell down the pecking order last campaign.

The 24-year-old forward has played just 18 starts across all competitions – including only 13 in the English top-tier – as the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Mason Greenwood and Jadon Sancho.

Neither Ole Gunnar Solskjaer nor Ralf Rangnick regarded Marcus Rashford as a regular member of their starting lineup, and reports have claimed that he could be sold in the summer as the incoming Ten Hag looks to rebuild his team.

Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal are among the teams to have been credited with an interest in the England international, however, Goal reports that he is keen to remain at Old Trafford and earn his place under the new head-coach.

The report suggests that Marcus Rashford has enlisted the help of his own personal trainer during the summer to make sure that he is ready to hit the ground running when the team return for pre-season training next month.

The English centre-forward is also believed to have asked current teammate Donny van de Beek and ex-teammate Daley Blind about Ten Hag’s coaching techniques to help give him a head start.
