Man Utd ready to listen offer for 21-year-old midfield maestro

Manchester United will think about selling midfielder James Garner to Jesse Marsch’s Leeds United this summer.

He made his senior Red Devils debut three years ago but has developed into a promising midfield player away from Old Trafford with stints on loan at Nottingham Forest and Watford.

The 21-year-old star has spent the last year at the City Ground outfit, rejoining them on loan until the end of the term last summer after extending his deal with the Premier League giants.

James is highly regarded by his parent club but a host of other sides are also keen on securing his services.

The Whites have identified him as a summer transfer target, according to The Mail and in spite of the rivalry between the two teams, Ralf Rangnick’s side may consider cashing in on him if they cannot guarantee the Englishman first-team football at Old Trafford.

United allegedly contemplated bringing him back to the Theatre of Dreams in January with the German tactician not satisfied with the outfit’s options in the middle of the pitch.

They resisted, with James shining in his current club’s FA Cup run which included wins against Leicester City and Arsenal before being eliminated by Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool at the quarter-final stage.
