Man Utd keen on to agree deal for Sporting star valued at €40m

Manchester United’s reported pursuit of Sporting centre-half Goncalo Ignacio seems to be escalating quite quickly.

last week outlet Correio da Manha first reported the 20-time English champions’ interest in the 20-year-old player, just claiming Ralf Rangnick’s side were ‘eyeing’ him for a while.

Meantime, newspaper A Bola saying a bid from the Old Trafford outfit is ‘imminent’, with the club following him with plenty of interests.

In spite of pointing out that Newcastle United are interested in the talent as well, A Bola states the Red Devils are actually leading the hunt for the ace, and have a plan to convince Leoes of accepting the transfer.

The Premier League giants are said to be aware that the Primeira Liga club would only let the Portuguese go for the price of his €45 million exit clause.

It’s stated United could then put on the table a proposal of €40 million plus bonuses. So that figure could be enough to persuade the Lisbon side.

The same report adds that developments could happen in the next few days, as Manchester United are in a hurry to get his signing done since it is considered to be a ‘priority’ for the next term.

The defender is represented by Bruno Fernandes’s agent Miguel Pinho and his relationship with the club could be absolutely decisive.
