Man Utd determined to agree deal for highly-rated Braga defender
Real Madrid have reportedly joined Premier League giants Liverpool and Manchester United in the race to secure services of Braga defender David Carmo.
Premier League heavyweights Liverpool and Man United were strongly linked with the 21-year-old centre-back in the January window.
Liverpool are believed to have had a couple of bids turned down before moving for Ben Davies and Ozan Kabak, however, Carmo remains a transfer target for both the Red Devils and the Merseyside Reds.
However, Spanish outlet AS reports that the Los Blancos have also been keeping tabs on the Portugal Under-20s international defender with a view to making a move.
Carmo has a €40m (£34.79m) release clause in his current deal at Braga, however, Portuguese club were supposedly willing to accept €25m (£21.74) last month.
La Liga giants have upped their search for a new centre-back amid strong suggestions that Sergio Ramos will depart from the club in the summer.
Meanwhile, Manchester United have reportedly made an enquiry to secure the services of Sporting Lisbon midfield star Pedro Goncalves who has been also rumoured with a switch to Liverpool.
The 22-year-old, who spent two campaign in the academy at Wolves, has performed well for the Portuguese giants who are on the top of the Primeira Liga table.
Portuguese outlet Record claims that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen on in the midfielder and would be open to adding him to his side in the summer.
Goncalves is currently under deal with Sporting until 2025 however, has a release clause believed to be worth £53m, a fee which the Red Devils are reportedly willing to meet.
