Man Utd continue chase for La Liga No.11 winger
Manchester United are reportedly still planning a move for Ousmane Dembele’s contract situation at La Liga giants, Barcelona, with the 20-times English champions hoping to ‘tempt’ the forward to Old Trafford.
The France international, who is still on the sidelines recovering from a serious knee injury, is currently in talks with the Catalan giants over an extension to his current contract, which ends in next June.
However, there has still not been an announcement by the Spanish giants, and as it stands, the World Cup-winning forward would be free to discuss a pre-contract with the Red Devils when the transfer window will be re-opened in January 2022.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the 20-times English champions are actively ‘courting’ the 24-year-old and are hopeful that he will turn down the chance to commit his future to La Liga giants.
The report suggests that several teams are keeping tabs on the situation, with Juventus also believed to be admirers of the attacker, who moved to Camp Nou from Dortmund in August 2017.
Dembele, who could return from injury by the end of October, has managed to found back of the net 30 times and provided 21 assists in 118 games for his current club in all competitions.
