Liverpool set to sign 6 ft defender this summer
Liverpool are reportedly intending to secure services Ozan Kabak on a permanent basis this summer.
The 21-year-old has arrived at the Merseyside Reds on loan from German giants Schalke 04 in January, and the defender has been a first-team player since his arrival at Anfield, playing nine games in all competitions.
As it stands, Kabak is set to make a return to his parent team in June, however, the reigning Premier League champions have the option of signing him on a permanent basis in the summer.
According to 90min, Jurgen Klopp’s team have been impressed by the defender’s form this year and are ready to trigger their buy option at the end of the season.
The report suggests that Liverpool paid a loan fee of £1.5m for Kabak, however, will need to transfer an extra £18m to Schalke in order to secure the the Turkey international on a long-term basis.
The Merseyside Reds are also believed to be interested in securing the services of RB Leipzig’s Ibrahima Konate, however, they will face stiff competition from their arch-rivals Manchester United.
Meanwhile, Liverpool also planning to sign another Schalke star Matthew Hoppe in the summer.
