Liverpool ready to listen offers for £48m-rated midfielder
Liverpool could cash in on midfielder Naby Keita this summer’s transfer window, ESPN report.
It is understood that the Anfield side are looking to raise funds for new players and could let the injury-prone Guinean star leave during this summer transfer market.
Keita has endured another underwhelming campaign at Anfield as he has struggled to catch the eye with his displays over the past ten months.
Plus, Naby has missed a lot of matches this season due to multiple injuries. He has made 16 appearances for the Merseyside outfit this term across multiple competitions.
Naby is under contract at Liverpool until June 2023, so Jurgen Klopp has no immediate pressure to sell him this summer.
However, his stint with the Reds has been ravaged by injuries, so it makes sense for Jurgen to cut his losses by letting him go in this off-campaign.
The Liverpool chief needs to add more quality to his roster if he wants his players to challenge for the Premier League title next term.
Hence, the Reds would be wise to ship the player out this summer as it’s high time that they gave up on Keita and brought in a suitable replacement.
At 26, Naby is currently at his peak, so he might fancy switching teams in search of a fresh start as things haven’t gone to plan for him at Merseyside thus far.
