Liverpool keen on to sign AC Milan box-to-box playmaker
Liverpool have allegedly made a ‘very interesting’ proposal for AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie.
He has been linked with a transfer to the Reds since the summer transfer window and did very little to harm his credentials in two UEFA Champions League matches against Jurgen Klopp’s side.
Now as January approaches it’d appear that the Anfield outfit are stepping up their pursuit of the Ivorian star.
According to a recent report from an Italian outlet Ansa, the Premier League giants have made their first bid.
Whilst the report does not go into detail about the offer for the 25-year-old, the interest has been widely rumoured previously.
So far this campaign Kessie has scored five times and picked up one assist in 21 appearances in all competitions.
Rated at £43.2 million and out of contract at I Rossoneri at the end of the season, landing the powerful midfielder for free would be an extraordinary piece of business.
Nominally a central midfielder, Franck would bolster the variants whilst also operating in the number six position and would therefore provide much-needed cover to the Brazil international Fabinho in the German’s ranks.
Possessing a lot of impressive attributes, it is clear to see why the English outfit would want to get ahead in this particular hunt.
