Liverpool joined the race for La Liga 28-year-old star
Manchester United have reportedly offered Real Madrid centre-back Raphael Varane a five-year deal, as the Red Devils attempt to lure him away from Santiago Bernabeu.
The 28-year-old, who is currently with the France national team preparing for Euro 2020, only has one year left to run on his current deal with Los Blancos.
Man United continue to be strongly rumoured with the World Cup winning defender, while Liverpool Chelsea and Manchester City are all believed to be keeping a close tabs on the developments.
According to ABC, the Red Devils have offered Varane a lucrative five-year deal, although the club are yet to come to an agreement with the Los Blancos over a transfer fee.
The report suggests that Carlo Ancelotti’s side are open to a sale, however, are unlikely to sanction his exit for anything under €70m (£60.2m) following to his importance to the club.
Varane recently believed that he is fully focused on this summer’s European Championships and is not currently prepared to discuss his future with the team level.
Man Utd consider him as perfect defensive partner for Harry Maguire, while Jurgen Klopp wants to pair him with Virgil van Dijk at the heart of the Merseyside Reds backline.
