Liverpool eyeing move fore 24-year-old versatile midfielder
Liverpool are allegedly monitoring West Ham’s Jarrod Bowen as Jurgen Klopp wants to bolster his attacking options heading into the 2021-22 season.
The Reds have already purchased Ibrahima Konate in a £36 million deal from RB Leipzig and are also aiming to strengthen in attack before their opening day game versus Norwich City on August 14.
According to The Athletic, Jarrod has emerged as a target for the Anfield side, with the Englishman said to feature on a list of attacking players this summer.
The Reds’ capability of strengthening in the forward zones may depend on whether they can shift the likes of Divock Origi and Xherdan Shaqiri in this window.
Both stars have fallen down the pecking order, especially since Diogo Jota’s arrival and the club are allegedly open to selling the duo. Lazio are said to be interested in Shaqiri.
Jarrod has impressed since signing for the Hammers from Hull City in an £18 million deal in January 2020, helping guide his club to a sixth-place finish last season.
The attacker netted eight goals and provided five assists for David Moyes’ side, and the East London outfit are in a strong position with Bowen’s deal running until 2025.
