Liverpool eyeing move for West Ham United midfield maestro

Liverpool have earmarked West Ham forward Jarrod Bowen as a potential signing to bolster their attack, according to the latest reports.

The 24-year-old star joined the Irons 18 months ago from Hull City for an initial £18 million sum, plus a further £7 million in bonuses.

Bowen has established himself as an important figure on the right side of the Hammers’ attack, scoring eight goals and providing five assists in the Premier League last term.

According to The Athletic, the Reds will be in the market to bolster their attacking options this summer if Xherdan Shaqiri and Divock Origi both leave Anfield.

And Jarred has emerged as a name on the club’s summer shortlist, with the report stating that Jurgen Klopp highly rates the West Ham man.

It’s also stated that Liverpool view him as a player with ‘massive potential’ who could provide serious competition in the attack.

Liverpool have already signed Ibrahima Konate this summer, but Klopp’s team are also in the market to replace midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum.

Meanwhile, Xherdan has attracted interest from Lazio and claims in Italy last week stated that the Serie A club have offered €12 million (£10.3 million) to Liverpool for the Switzerland star.

It’s understood that the Merseyside giants are holding out for a sum closer to £13 million for Shaqiri.
