Liverpool eyeing move for Leeds United attacker
Manchester City are prepared to rival Liverpool and Manchester United in the race to sign Leeds United winger Raphinha this summer, according to Sport Italia’s Gianluigi Longari.
The Whites forward is one of the hot prospects in the market in the summer and could attract more interest, although the club are determined to keep him at the club next campaign.
He moved to the Premier League last year, for a sum of almost €20 million. Raphinha was highly rated in France due to his displays with Rennes.
And the attacker did not take much time settling into life in England either, becoming an important figure in Marcelo Bielsa’s offensive unit that has mesmerised the division.
In what is his debut season in England, the Brazilian star has been involved in a total of 12 goals in 26 matches.
Liverpool’s desire to sign the player likely stems from the uncertainty regarding the future of the Egypt international Mohamed Salah.
As far as Raphinha is concerned, the star might be a bit too expensive option for Jurgen Klopp and his team, with the fellow Premier League club more than likely to demand somewhere in the region of over €80m for the services of their prized asset this summer.
