Liverpool eyeing move for Bayern Munich 28-year-old versatile defender

Bundesliga giants, Bayern Munich are reportedly not prepared to sell David Alaba when the transfer window will be re-opened in January.

The 28-year-old stays a key player for the German champions, founding back of the net one time and provided one assist in 10 games in all competitions during the 2020-21 season.

Alaba’s current deal at the Allianz Arena is set to expire next season, though, and the two sides have not yet been able to come to an agreement over a fresh contract.

A number of teams, including Premier League giants Liverpool and Arsenal while Real Madrid and Juventus, are believed to be interested in securing the services of the Austria international, who would be free to discuss terms with foreign tea,s at the start of 2021 providing that he does not end his deal with the European champions.

According to Bild, German champions have ruled out a January sale as they would rather risk the possibility of losing the 28-year-old defender on a free transfer than sanction a mid-season exit.

Alaba, who has won nine Bundesliga trophies during his time with Der FCB, is allegedly open to the idea of making a move to the Premier League club.
