Jurgen Klopp keen on to sign Real Madrid promising midfielder
Liverpool have allegedly retained a long-term interest in France and Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga.
Before the end of the summer market, the Galacticos got a deal over the line for him, taking advantage of the highly-rated youngster having just a year left on his deal at Rennes.
However, while the 19-year-old player has been a constant presence in the Italian tactician Carlo Ancelotti’s roster, the star has been restricted to seven starts and 13 substitute appearances across all competitions.
According to El Nacional, the Reds are monitoring the current situation in the event that an opportunity arises where they can land the prospect.
While the report adds that there is little chance of a move occurring during the summer, boss Jurgen Klopp hasn’t lost interest in signing Eduardo.
Much could depend on Los Blancos’ activity in the market later this year, while the La Liga giants are also intent on handing an extension to Luka Modric.
Elsewhere, Liverpool and their Premier League rivals Manchester City have reportedly earmarked PSV Eindhoven forward Cody Gakpo as a possible transfer target.
The report states that “it is clear” that the two English giants have held talks with Gakpo’s representatives over a future move.
