Ian Wright criticised Man Utd for not signing explosive PL forward

Ian Wright believes Manchester United have made a huge mistake by not signing Liverpool winger Sadio Mane.

Senegalese international forward was strongly linked with a switch to Old Trafford before departing from Southampton to join Liverpool back in 2016. Since moving to Anfield, he has won the UEFA Champions League and Premier League becoming one of the most feared wingers in the world.

Former Arsenal forward Ian Wright is a huge fans of  Liverpool forward and insists he is ‘now easily one of the best in the world’.

And he believes the Red Devils lived to regret failing to secure his services four years ago. ‘Remember Man United were all over him, you know,’ Wright said on his new podcast Wrighty’s House.

‘I think they spoke to him but he said no. Manchester United weren’t right for him.

‘Again, you feel like Man United made a big mistake by not making that signing. By not being in the position to make that signing.

‘As a football team, they were nowhere near giving him the kind of philosphy, what they’re going to do to attract a player like Mane.

‘He’s now easily one of the best in the world.’
