Bundesliga giants determined to agree deal for 11-goals Chelsea forward
Borussia Dortmund are keen on signing Chelsea attacker Timo Werner in the summer transfer market, according to the latest reports.
This comes after BVB forward Erling Haaland is set to leave Germany to join Manchester City after the Citizens matched his buy-out clause.
As per Goal, Die Borussen are interested in the Blues man, who they have previously been associated with in the past.
It was reported that Timo is said to be one of the Bundesliga outfit’s ‘main targets’ for the summer transfer market.
However, reports earlier in May have said that the club would not be able to afford his wages, which is understood to be a salary of around €15m.
It was added that Timo was ‘very interested’ in sealing a return to his homeland, where Werner found the best form of his senior career.
But, these reports circulated during a stint out of the line-up for him. Since then, the attacker has found his feet once again and proved to be one of the most dangerous forwards at Thomas Tuchel’s disposal.
Also, since the confirmation of Haaland’s transfer, Marco Rose’s side have already added Red Bull Salzburg prodigy Karim Adeyemi to their roster for next season.
