Chelsea slapped £36m price tag on Aston Villa dream target

Aston Villa are reportedly still undecided on whether to secure services of Ross Barkley on a permanent basis from Chelsea at the end of the 2020/21 season.

The England international has performed well during his loan spell at Villa Park, scoring and assisting four times in 14 games.

Aston Villa have been tipped to snap up Ross Barkley on a full-time basis, however, Football Insider claims that the Blues asking price is proving to be a stumbling block.

The West London club are believed to be holding out for around £35m for the 27-year-old, which is considerably more than the Villans can afford to pay.

It is believed that Villa will wait until the end of the season before holding talks with Ross Barkley and Chelsea, however, the West London outfit are not believed to budge on their valuation.

Meanwhile, La Liga giants Atletico Madrid are reportedly interested in securing the services of Hakim Ziyech from Chelsea this summer transfer window.

The Morocco international was bought from Dutch giants, Ajax in a £33.3m contract last year and initially made a positive start to his Stamford Bridge career.

However, the former Ajax forward progress has stalled since Thomas Tuchel replaced Frank Lampard in the winter and he has started just two games under the German manager.
