Chelsea in pole position to sign €20m-rated English striker in January

Everton are bracing themselves for a new approach from Chelsea for Anthony Gordon. The Blues are set to include Armando Broja and Conor Gallager plus £25m in cash for the 21-year-old forward, taking the value of the deal to a possible £85m.

The Anthony Gordon saga could rumble on until deadline day as the London giants get creative with their offerings. After seeing a series of bids get rejected by the Merseyside club for U21 England international, the London giants are willing to push the boat further to get the deal over the line.

The English attacker has already suggested he wants to move to the London club, but the two teams have yet to agree on the transfer fee. Chelsea’s latest offer was worth nearly £60m, which has not passed the test yet.

Recent reports suggested that the Toffees wanted two Chelsea footballers to sell Anthony, which could now become a reality. The Blues are not giving up on Gordon just yet and willing to include Conor Gallagher and Armando Broja plus cash to add the attacker.

The Merseyside club have been looking for a new centre-forward and a central midfielder in this window. While they have signed a fair few footballers, the hunt continues until deadline day.

Even if the Toffees agree on the deal, which could be worth £85m for the Blues, they will also need the footballers’ approval on the subject. Financially, it could be the right deal for Everton, but finishing such a deal in the time remaining will be interesting to watch.
