Chelsea could replace Frank Lampard with Southampton manager
Chelsea have allegedly drawn up a shortlist of head coaches who could replace Frank Lampard, with Southampton leader Ralph Hasenhuttl among those considered.
Frank has come under fire after a bad run of form for his side, which has seen them slide down to ninth in the Premier League standings.
The Chelsea boss has remained defiant amid talk he could be heading for the sack, but he’ll need to arrest a run of form that has seen them win only once in their last seven games in all competitions.
While Chelsea aren’t planning to sack him imminently, the club’s board are considering their options should they decide to part company with the Blues legend.
A wishlist has been drawn up, according to the Daily Mail, and the Saints boss Hasenhuttl is under consideration.
He has done a remarkable job with his team this season and his unfancied side are three points ahead of the Blues in sixth.
There are other high-profile managers being considered. Red Bull Leipzig chief Julian Nagelsmann is also admired at the English club.
The likes of Ralf Rangnick and Thomas Tuchel and Ralf Rangnick may also come into the frame if they decided they can’t wait until the end of the campaign to part ways with Lampard.
Thomas has recently left Paris Saint-Germain, while Ralf left his role as head of sport and development at Red Bull last year.
Former Juventus and AC Milan head coach Max Allegri is also available and has previously been interviewed by the Premier League side.
