Bundesliga prolific forward reacts to Man Utd transfer links
Eintracht Frankfurt striker Andre Silva has suggested that rumours regarding a switch to Man United only acts as motivation to produce better performances.
The 25-year-old attacker has started to fulfil his potential in the Germany top-tier, founding back of the net 31 times from 46 appearances since his departure from Seire A giants, AC Milan.
While Frankfurt will inevitably want to keep the Portugal international for a long-term period, Andre Silva has just over two years left on his current deal.
With the Red Devils among the teams who are believed to be keeping tabs on the situation, Silva has acknowledged that it is a sign that he is now on the right path after a disappointing period at San Siro.
Speaking to O Jogo, the frontman said: “I’ve heard rumours, but that is it. Rumours are rumours.
“At the end of this season, it’s’ something that gives me more motivation to work, it’s a sign that what I have accomplished has borne fruit and the path has been good.”
Portugal international forward’s asking price is likely to be dependent on whether Eintracht Frankfurt, currently in fourth place in the German top-tier, qualify for next campaigns Champions League.
