Barcelona ace linked with January move to Chelsea
Chelsea and their Premier League rivals Liverpool are ‘after’ the La Liga giants Barcelona teen Alejandro Balde.
That’s what a Spanish outlet Sport are reporting and they also provide additional details of the two English sides’ interest in the 17-year-old.
Alejandro operates as a left-back and his rise at the Catalan side has seen him represent them in the UEFA Youth League this campaign, where he has featured in four matches and has an assist to his name.
According to the same report, there are many clubs keen on the gifted young defender and his ‘power and projection’ has not gone unnoticed, especially in the Premier League.
Regarding the Blues and the Merseyside outfit, Sport states they have already approached the ace’s surroundings to try and get him out of the La Liga club.
It’ll be difficult for the aforementioned heavyweights to sign Balde because, as per the claims, Alejandro is ‘comfortable’ at Barcelona.
The highly-regarded Spaniard is aware of the backing he has from his side, who ‘will give continuity to his career’.
Should everything go as per the plan, he will get his chance with the senior team as the Spanish side view him as a bet for the future and the present.
With Alejandro feeling comfortable at the club and Blaugrana having a plan for him, Chelsea and Liverpool are likely to struggle to land the starlet.
Elswhere, Anel Ahmedhodzic’s father has spoken out against his son’s entourage and thinks that he is the reason that the defender’s move to Stamford Bridge is in jeopardy.
“Markus Rosenborg (Anel’s agent) separates the child from the father and the mother… for money. Markus wants to fool Anel,” he said.
“He’s [Rosenberg] not doing his job. He has told Marina [Granovskaia, Chelsea director] at Chelsea that Anel is not going there.”
