Arsenal set to make approach for RB Leipzig full-back
CalcioMercato claim that Arsenal and Tottenham want to land RB Leipzig left-back Angelino – just one campaign after he joined the Bundesliga side permanently from Manchester City.
The 25-year-old joined Die Roten Bullen on loan in January 2020 and having spent a one-and-a-half year at the club temporarily, a £16m permanent deal was struck.
He has produced 34 goal involvements in that time – netting 10 goals and laying on 24 assists. Now, Angelino is being mentioned with a return to England. The Gunners and Spurs are interested.
CalcioMercato state that both London sides want the Spaniard – but so do Barcelona, who are keen to bring in a long-term replacement for Jordi Alba.
It comes after Kieran Tierney and Sergio Reguilon were both linked with the La Liga giants Real Madrid.
Angelino is a high-class left-back. His form in the German top-flight is quite sensational and he surely showed signs of said form at the Citizens. In 15 games for them, the player laid on three assists when given the opportunity.
It is unclear how much he is worth now, though the Germans are hardly going to sell him on the cheap – considering he has a contract until June 2025 but a return to the Premier League might be tempting for him.
