Arsenal joined the race for Rangers 25-year-old midfielder

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is reportedly eyeing a return to the Emirates Stadium for Rangers’ Glen Kamara.

The 25-year-old star has impressed for the Gers this campaign and a transfer back to the Premier League could be on the cards when the transfer market reopens this summer.

Arsenal want to land a new defensive midfielder in the summer, with Arteta keen to strengthen his side.

And GiveMeSport claim Glen is in their sights, with the player impressing for Rangers amid a sensational term under Steven Gerrard over at Ibrox.

It’s claimed Arsenal have the midfielder under consideration, despite allowing him to depart the Emirates Stadium in 2017.

Kamara made just one senior team appearance for Arsenal in a League Cup tie with Sheffield Wednesday back in 2015 having been snapped up three years previously.

Yet Arsene Wenger allowed him to leave after he struggled to get into the side and, in the seasons since, he’s rebuilt his career.

Kamara has made 98 appearances for his current side since his move to Ibrox in January 2019 and is a key part in the Steven Gerrard machine.

He’s said to be hoping for a fresh deal with the Scottish Premiership side but, with the Gunners now in the frame, that stance could soon change.

The club know they can’t rely on Granit Xhaka, in spite of the Switzerland international improving considerably during Mikel’s spell in the dugout.

And Glen could be set for a stunning return at the end of the season, though Rangers could prove to be plucky when it comes to possible transfer talks.
