Arsenal in talks to sign Real Madrid creative midfielder

Arsenal continue to be associated with a move for Real Madrid’s Isco, and La Razon now cover reports from Spanish radio to say the north Londoners have made contact about landing him.

His contract with Los Blancos expires in the summer, by which time he will be 30-years-of-age, and it is unlikely he is going to be handed a renewal.

Manager Carlo Ancelotti has given his player 177 minutes in La Liga thus far this season, spread over seven matches, and the Italian hasn’t fielded the midfielder once in the UEFA Champions League.

Indeed, he has only had 11 minutes of action since the start of autumn, with him being brought on when the Galacticos were already 4-1 up versus Granada.

The same report says Madrid have not been happy with the star’s behaviour, Isco’s got an attitude problem and has shown irritation during games and also in training.

Mikel Arteta’s side may well have looked at him, yet it is unlikely they would want to hand Isco a big contract considering his situation.

Sevilla have also been mentioned, and that looks a likelier transfer, although they’d certainly also be concerned over financially committing too much to the Spain international.

In spite of all the trophies he has picked up along the way, his career has not really gone the way many hoped it’d.
