Arsenal forward emerged as surprise transfer target for London rivals
West Ham United have reportedly identified Eddie Nketiah and Tammy Abraham as potential transfer targets in the upcoming summer transfer window.
The London giants have been the surprise package of this campaigns Premier League, with David Moyes’s side currently sitting in fourth place in the standings.
Despite their strong season, the Hammers are short of competition for Michail Antonio, who has spent a number of periods on the sidelines through injury.
According to the Daily Star, the Blues frontman Abraham and the Gunners striker Nketiah will be on West Ham’s radar if they can claim a spot in the Champions League or Europa League.
The West London club are yet to agree terms with top goalscorer Abraham, who only has two years left on his current deal at Stamford Bridge as English forward is keen on to play more first-team minutes, however, after the arrival of Timo Werner his time in the starting XI has been limited.
Meanwhile, 10 of Nketiah’s 13 starts this campaign have come in cup competitions, putting the 21-year-old in a position where he may look for first-team football elsewhere, however, if Alexandre Lacazette departs from the club it will be tough for the Hammers to lure Nketiah away from the Emirates Stadium.
