Arsenal eyeing move for 21-year-old forward

Arsenal-linked Manor Solomon has his heart set on a transfer to the Premier League in spite of interest from Serie A, as stated by Israeli publication Sport5.

The forward with two Ukrainian league trophies in the bag appears to be the next player in line for a big-money transfer away from Shakhtar Donetsk, following in the footsteps of Douglas Costa, Fred, Fernandinho and Willian.

The Gunners are reported to have made a £17 million bid in the summer, only for Hirnyky to block any departure.

The 22-year-old is also reported to be a target for Newcastle United, Everton and Tottenham Hotspur, via TEAMtalk.

The wide man didn’t rule out a switch to north London or the north east when asked on interest from the Magpies and Spurs recently.

“Anything can happen, you never know. There are reports all the time. I’m used to it. Of course, in the last year, (the rumours) have gotten stronger since my appearances in the Champions League,” said Manor.

“Chances are I’ll stay (at Shakhtar beyond the winter window). (But) I do want to go to those places and I really hope it happens in the coming year.”

Serie A side Sassuolo have also reportedly pinpointed Solomon as a potential replacement for the outgoing Jeremy Boga.
