Arsenal and Liverpool go head-to-head to sign Norwegian midfielder

Arsenal loanee Martin Odegaard will reportedly consider transfer to Liverpool when the transfer window will be re-opened in the summer

The Norway international has spent the past three months on loan at the Emirates Stadium from La Liga gaints Real Madrid, where he struggled for regular first-team football under Zinedine Zidane.

The Los Blancos are believed to be ready to cash in on Norway interantinal while his stock is high, the 22-year-old having impressed across his 14 games with Arsenal.

Mikel Arteta has already hinted that the North London club will try to secure the services of the midfielder permanently, however, Spanish outlet AS claims that competition may be provided by Liverpool.

The 22-year-old attacking midfielder has previously described Liverpool as his “dream team” and is believed to be keen to play for the reigning Premier League defending champions at some point.

Real Madrid are supposedly holding out for a bid of around £50m for the Stromsgodset academy product and both Liverpool and Arsenal will have to splash money in order to lure him away from Santiago Bernabeu.
