Man United’s explosive winger linked with a surprise move to Ligue 1

Man United attacker Adnan Januzaj is reportedly a target for French side Lyon.

The 21-year-old Belgian, has so far failed to build on an encouraging start to his Manchester United career.

He secured a season-long loan to Sunderland in the summer after he has lost his place in the starting line-up at Old Trafford.

But, he has struggled to make much of an impact for David Moyes’s side, failing to net in his 13 League games.

And Ligue 1 side Lyon are reportedly set to offer Januzaj the opportunity to revive his career in France.

Landing Januzaj is now a preference for Bruno Genesio, as reported by the L’Equipe.

The news comes right after Lyon expressed their interest in signing another Man United outcast in Memphis Depay.

And Khaled Karouri of Foot Mercato thinks positive discussions have already started over a contract for the winger.

Depay has hardly performed since Mourinho’s selection at Manchester, operating as little as 20 minutes of Premier League football this year.

Everton have also been linked with the Dutch misfit after Ronald Koeman shown his wish to snap up winger.

The Spaniard Juan Mata and Marouane Fellaini both netted in the second half as United secured a 2-0 victory over Hull in the first game of their EFL Cup semi-final with Hull.
