Chelsea have launched an offer for the 22-year-old free kick specialist
Premier League giants Chelsea have submitted a transfer offer for Bayer Leverkusen playmaker Hakan Calhanoglu, according to reports.
It’s believed the Italian manager is in the market for an attacking midfielder after the Brazilian star Oscar finalised a club record £60million transfer to Chinese side Shanghai SIPG.
According to the Turkish-Football the West Londoners have made a shock January offer for Calhanoglu, with Conte more keen on securing the 22-year-old free kick taker.
Few weeks ago, Chelsea were monitoring the highly-rated Turkish man, who has been Leverkusen’s standout footballer this term, and he hugely impressed club scouts.
But, it seems Chelsea could come up against competition from Premier League rivals Manchester United who are also interested in Calhanoglu.
And the Turkey International even said it would be difficult to reject the Red Devils, telling Lig Tv: “Barcelona and Manchester United are huge clubs it would be difficult to turn them down.”
“But I have not said anything about any transfers or anything of the sort.” – He Added.
Çalhanoğlu has been compared to Mesut Özil. He also said he wants to be the similar of Özil in the Turkish national team.
Antonio Conte identified prolific and versatile PL star as an alternative for Hector
Chelsea are reportedly interested in landing Michail Antonio as they look to bolster their squad.
Antonio Conte wants to strengthen his defence in January and has already recalled Nathan Ake from Bournemouth as he trying secure key targets, with a match against title holders Leicester City beckoning on Saturday.
Conte’s dreams of signing Antonio could be dashed early, however, as West Ham have no desire of selling the versatile man in January.
Chelsea are still considering other options, having also watching at Napoli’s Faouzi Ghoulam. Who has rejected a new deal at the Serie A side but it is believed that he will not be free to move in January.
The Italian manager is still assessing Kenedy and is open to both keeping him or sending him out on loan. The South American is not yet eligible to play because, if he makes played for Chelsea, he would be powerless to move on loan.
This is according to FIFA rules not letting footballers to appear for more than two sides, with Kenedy having been used by Watford in a unique match before moving back to west London.
Hector, has not been one to draw Chelsea’s interest despite reports linking The Blues to theGerman star.
