Officially Confirmed: Arsenal midfielder has finally returned to the Emirates
It has been already confirmed by La Liga outfit Granada that midfielder Jon Toral has returned to Arsenal after the north London club chose to activate a recall option that was included in youngster’s contract deal.
The 21-year-old starlet was sent on a season-long loan to Granada last summer but has made only six appearances for the Spanish club.
The talented youngster has impressed with Birmingham City last season scoring eight goals in 33 matches – and joined on Arsenal’s summer tour of the far east at the end of the last term.
And now, Granada confirmed in a brief statement today that the 21-year-old ace has returned to the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal head coach Arsene Wenger remains a big admirer of the young midfielder and revealed earlier this week that the Gunners are ‘working’ with Scottish club Rangers over a potential move for Jon Toral.
Should Mark Warburton’s men fail to agree a deal for the Spaniard, Arsenal Wenger is happy to keep the young midfielder at Emirates Stadium and could form part of his first-team squad.
Wish Jack Wilshere heavily linked with a departure from the north London club, Toral could be very useful for Arsene Wenger during the reminder of the season.
Arsenal started talks with technically gifted Paris Saint-Germain wide-man
According to the reports from Metro, Arsenal have opened talks over a potential transfer move for Paris Saint-Germain wide-man Lucas Moura, who has been linked with a departure from Parc Des Princes since the last season.
The Italian publication Tuttomercatoweb suggest that Arsene Wenger is a big admirer of the Brazilian star and the Gunners have already taken the initial steps of making contact over a potential deal.
The 24-year-old Lucas Moura is in his fifth season with the League 1 giants having joined in a massive £38m deal from Sao Paulo back in 2012.
The current contract deal of the Brazil international expires in 2019, but he still linked with a move to the north London club.
In Ligue 1, the former Sao Paulo star has scored six goals and provided two assists in 19 matches so far this season.
Meanwhile, Arsene Wenger has contacted Juventus midfield star Miralem Pjanic as Arsenal ready to plot a £28m bid for the midfielder’s signature.
The 26-year-old Bosnia and Herzegovina international has made 20 apps for the Old Lady this season, scoring six goals in process, as Juve have climbed to the top of Serie A.
Pjanic has been a long-term target for several European top clubs, and The Sun suggest that Arsene Wenger is hoping to get his signature.
It is believed the French manager has called the attacking midfielder to enquire about his future, with Miralem Pjanic giving Wenger hope that a move could materialise.
Arsenal midfield maestro linked with a shock move to League rivals
According to the English media sources, Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola has asked to be kept informed over the future of Arsenal on-loan midfield star Jack Wilshere ahead of a potential transfer move in summer
The England international is currently on a season-long loan spell at Bournemouth and faces an uncertain future at north London club after losing his first-team place in Wenger’s starting XI.
The French manager felt he had no room for Jack Wilshere this term before sending the fans favourite star out on loan on deadline day, but he remains hot property among Premier League clubs.
Manchster City are long-time admirers of the English midfielder, with Pep Guardiola interested in possibly adding the 25-year-old star to his midfield, while another Premier League club Everton are also among his admirers.
Wilshere was once regarded as the future of English football, but has seen his career derailed by endless injuries.
The Citizens, meanwhilre, are chasing for the replacement of their midfielder lkay Gundogan, who has picked up a serious injury, while Wilshere could also be a useful signing to replace the likes of Yaya Toure and Fabian Delph.
The England international will be out of contract with the Gunners at the end of the 2017/18 campaign, and Arsene Wenger will decide over the next few months what course of action to take over the player’s future.
