Agent Confirms: Arsenal transfer target set to remain with Euro giants

As the agent of Wolfsburg left-back Ricardo Rodriguez has revealed, his agent is going nowhere despite the strong interest from Arsenal.

The Swiss international has been heavily linked with a move away from the Bundesliga club in the summer with two Premier League giants Arsenal and Chelsea reportedly interested.

Wolfsburg are having a terrible season so far, as they sit just two points above the relegation zone after picking up only two wins this term.

And the reports from Italian publication Calcio Mercato claim Arsenal are keeping close tabs on Rodriguez’s situation.

It’s understood that Arsene Wenger’s side rate the left-back highly and are the frontrunners in race for his signature as they look to find a long-term successor to their Spanish full-back Nacho Monreal.

However, any speculation linking the Swiss left-back with a move away from Wolfsburg has been quashed by his representative Gianluca Di Domenico, who insists he is staying put.

Meanwhile, Arsenal superstar Alexis Sanchez has not ruled out a shock move to China as the contract deal standoff of the Chile international with Arsenal continues.

As per the reports from The Sun, the representatives of the 27-year-old South American star are looking at potential avenues away from the North London club, and a move to the Far East is still on the table.

The current contract deal of the striker is worth £130,000-a-week with Arsenal and it expires in less than two years.

It is believed that the Negotiations over a new deal have reportedly stalled as Alexis Sanchez is asking for £250,000-a-week wages.
